The first impressions of the Crazy Taxi: World Tour Closed Network Test have begun to surface, with its Cops ’n’ Cabbies multiplayer mode seemingly taking center stage.

The mode, according to multiple outlets such as Video Game Chronicle, sees players take control of any of the game’s drivers as they complete each stage’s objectives (be it by picking up passengers or collecting resources). The catch? Players can also take on the cop’s side and do their absolute best to catch you on your tracks and put you in a cell for the rest of the match.

In addition, the closed Beta let fans try a multiplayer take on the franchise’s classic Pickup Race, which tasks you with dropping off as many passengers as you can to earn more money than the opposition. At launch, the mode supports up to six players online.

When Is The Next Crazy Taxi: World Tour Closed Test?

At the time of writing, there’s no news about a new Crazy Taxi: World Tour Closed Network Test. After all, the latest just ended less than 24 hours ago. It won’t be out of the question, however, to expect the game to receive at least a couple more as we get closer to its still-unconfirmed release date.

Since joining any test will likely require signing up early again, you can stay on top of everything by following the franchise’s social media accounts and joining its official Discord server.

Crazy Taxi: World Tour is set to be released in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC, via Steam. The game was also a source of controversy early on, with SEGA openly admitting to employing Generative AI in its development. According to the game’s Steam page, the tool was used as ”part of the ideation process for background objects. They also made sure to point out that ”no AI-generated content will be included in the final game”.
