World of Tanks getting more tanks added to it shouldn’t come as a surprise, but the fact that the multiplayer shooter’s latest update has brought four new heavy tanks is likely going to make an impact in one way or another. And besides that, there are more features to note as well, both in terms of tanks and gameplay.
Play World of Tanks for freeThe big rumbly machines in question are all part of a new heavy line in the German tree that moves from tiers VIII to XI, with the Pz.Kpfw. Neu sitting at the top. A major feature of these new vehicles is a shell calibration system that lets players fine-tune their ammo to counter specific armor. In addition, there are five more Tier XI tanks across different nations, and a rebalancing of light tanks that places them into one of three distinct battlefield roles.
While new and existing tanks are a centerpiece for the update, there are other features as well like new visual and sound effects to make fights more readable and immersive, improvements to matchmaking that should see fewer repeated maps and more varied light tanks, the start of the Year of the Phoenix seasons, and a new mission in the personal battle campaign.
