Formula Legends Adds Online Multiplayer For PC, Console Release Coming

Formula Legends has added online multiplayer with update 1.7, giving PC players a new way to race against friends and other players around the world. The free update is available now on PC, while PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players will get the feature in late October with crossplay planned across all supported platforms.

The update arrives as Formula Legends passes 100,000 copies sold, a milestone the game reached earlier this month. Since launch, 3DClouds has continued adding content covering different eras of open-wheel racing, including the recently released Formula E: Electric Evolution expansion, and all of that content can now be used in online multiplayer races.

Online sessions support up to 10 players with both ranked and unranked options. Players can use the server browser to find a race and jump into either a Single Race or Championship, while those who would rather set up their own session can choose the cars, tracks, weather, number of laps, mandatory pit stops and other race settings. Private servers can also be password protected for anyone who wants to keep a session limited to friends.
